As of yesterday, we’ve added Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Ukraine and Estonia to the mix and we expect to extend that list with Latvia and Lithuania next week. Please keep an eye on this news section, as more new countries will be announced soon!

Zaypay will improve the combinatory heuristics that determine what prices can be charged using SMS/Text Messaging. It soon will no longer to be possible for a certain price point to be higher than another while the lower consumer tariff yields a higher payout.
From monday the 31st of May we won’t be providing these price points anymore. This will in most cases cause no change and in some cases cause customers to pay slightly less, while merchants get paid out slightly more. Most merchants use the most effective price points anyway. The only country these things slightly change in is The Netherlands and only for SMS/Text payments. We will update your full-controll price settings accordingly, and will notify API customers that have used a price point that will be lost in the past 12 months about this by mail today.

In our ongoing effort to improve our coverage, we’ve added support for phone payments in Sweden. SMS/text-payments we’re in place already, but people can now also use a 30 SEK per-call and a 30 SEK per-minute premium line. Make sure to show the support phone number you get through the API as this is mandatory. If you use the Payalogue, this is done for you automatically. You may need to make a setting in your account where you promise to show the number before the new payment method becomes available to you. This is also indicated while editing Price Settings, so you really can’t miss it.

Outpayments for phone payments in Spain have improved in our continuing effort to deliver the best outpayments in the market. The higher payout is effective for all customers. As usual you don’t have to do anything to make use of it, you’ll just see higher payouts for the same amount charged.

Due to some regulatory changes in the spanish mobile market, we had to suspend our SMS/text service in Spain a few months ago. We’re happy to report that we’re back in Spain with a new tariff, namely € 1,39. We’re also looking to add more tariffs, which hopefully will be added in the upcoming months.

We are pleased to announce we added two new text-payment tariffs for Canada, namely $2.50 and $5.00 CAD. Unfortunately, we had to temporarily suspend the $2.99 CAD per-call line in Canada, but we hope these new tariffs and their solid payouts will make up for that loss. The Canadian phone line has been restored. It has a new number to call, but the tariff and payouts are still the same.
Also, we recently reactivated text payments in Portugal after some massive changes in their operator market took place. We got even more competitive payouts this time around!

It’s been a long time coming, but USA support is back! For the moment, we only support $4.99, but in the upcoming weeks we also plan on adding a couple of lower tariffs like $1.99, $2.99 and $3.99.
Due to promotional restrictions in the USA (and possibly other countries in the future), you need to specifically enable it in order for it to become available in your Price Settings. You can find it under “API Instructions” in your Account settings, or just click on any previously made Price Setting and it will pop up a dialog box with instructions.

In our effort to not only add more countries to the list, but also add more languages as we hook up new countries, we are pleased to announce that the API and the Payalogues now have a russian translation available. New languages like russian work out of the box, so there is nothing you have to do to enable it.

We at Zaypay have developed a set of Adaptors that can help you switch to Zaypay for micropayments. Our Adaptors are communication bridges that accept the request formats your existing applications send to our competitors. They then translate and send the requests to our Zaypay API, and upon receiving results it will reverse translate the results and send these back to your applications.
The Adaptors are developed for you to easily switch to Zaypay. It’s as simple as pointing your applications to our Adaptors, by replacing our competitor’s request URLs with the Adaptor’s URLs (HTTP addresses). Our Adaptors respond exactly the same way our competitors’ APIs do, so you won’t have to update your applications at all.
Currently we supply adaptors for Daopay and TargetPay.
